Using the Pasta | Rice Gourmet™
1. Read allinstructionsand importantsafeguards.
2. Removeall packagingmaterialsand make sureitems are receivedin good condition.
3. Tear upall plastic bagsas they can posea risk to children.
4. Wash lid,colander,steam tray andaccessoriesin warm soapywater. Rinseand dry thoroughly.
5. Removeinner pot fromrice cookerand clean withwarm soapy water. Rinse anddry thoroughly
beforereturningto cooker.
6. Wipe bodyclean witha damp cloth.
•Do not use abrasivecleanersor scouringpads.
•Do not immersethe base, cordor plug in waterat any time.

BEFORE FIRST USE:

NOTES ON USING THE PASTA |RICEGOURMET:

1. Thestainlesssteel handleswill be HOT duringand afteroperation. Always use protectiveovenmitts
whenremovingthe lid, steamtray, colanderor inner potfrom the ricecooker.
2. Whenusing the ricefunction,always placethe lid on therice cooker sothat the steamvent is facing
awayfrom the frontof the ricecooker (towardthe side farthestfrom thecontrol panel). This will
preventsteamburns that mightotherwiseoccur whenreaching forthe lid handle.
3. Foodsmay not be cookedin the steamtray whilepasta or otherfoods are boiling. The highlevel of
waterneededfor boiling willoften causefoods in the steamtray to becomesubmergedin water.
Over-boilingand sputteringmay also occur.
4. Whenusing the pastafunctiondo not cover withthe lid.
5. Whenusing the steamfunction,it is best toplace the steamtray into thecolander beforeinserting
intothe innerpot.
6. Inorder to avoiddamage to the nonstickcoating,do not letmetal utensils,scouringpads or abrasive
cleanersto comeinto contactwith the innerpot.
7. Alwaysuse protectiveovenmitts when removingthe lid,colanderor steam tray bothbefore and
aftercooking.
