5.1 Managing the System

5.1.1 Setting the System Clock

The IntraCore 3624/48has a battery-backed system clock that is accurate even after a system restart.

To manually set the system clock, complete the following commands in privileged configuration mode. Use a space and a question mark (?) to display the clock set options. Save after configuring the clock by typing save at the switch# prompt.

Switch(Config)# sntp
daylight	Enable or	disable the daylight saving configuration
localtime	Configure	the local time
server
timezone

Switch(Config)# sntp localtime

enable	Enable local time
localtime_date	Set local time

Switch(Config)# sntp localtime localtime_date

<2007..2037> Enter year

Switch(Config)# sntp localtime localtime_date 2008 07 06 06 35 00
