2.3Central Processing Unit (CPU)

The motherboard comes with a 479-pin, surface-mount, Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) mPGA479M socket designed for the Intel¨ Coreª Duo/Coreª Solo processor.

2.3.1Installing the CPU

To install a CPU:

1.Locate the CPU socket on the motherboard.

2.Unlock the socket by pressing the lever sideways, then lift it up to a 90¼- 100¼ angle.

Socket lever

Make sure that the socket lever is lifted up to 90¼-100¼ angle; otherwise, the CPU will not fit in completely.
