To replace a handset
If you are re placin g a ha ndset on a system that has th e
maximum number of registered handsets (eight) or wish
to cha nge th e assi gned h andset number of yo ur reg istered
handset s, you m ust fi rst de -regist er the hands ets, and then
re-regi ster a ll han dsets again.
NOTE: A handset must be de-registered, with NOT REGISTERED shown on
the handset screen, before it can be registered to another telephone base.
To de-register a handset
• Press the CENTER N avKey on t he han dset t o brin g up
main menu.
• Press the UP or DOWN NavKey or four t imes f or
settin gs.
• Press the CENTER NavKey to e nter i nto se ttings
menu.
• Press the UP NavKey o nce or DOWN NavKey
seven times to select delete registration.
• Press the CENTER NavKey and you will be prompted
to select YES/NO for handse t de-r egistra tion.
• Press the so ftkey YES to pro ceed w ith de -registr ation or
NO to cancel.
• After pressing the softkey YES, the screen will remain
blank for a while.
• When the screen shows N ot Reg istered , the d e-
registration process is complete. There will not be a
confirmation tone.
