LDAP / LDAPS
To allow authentication and authorization for the KL9108 / KL9116 via LDAP / LDAPS, set the parameters as follows:
1.Check the box to enable LDAP / LDAPS authentication and authorization.
2.Click a radio button to specify whether to use LDAP or LDAPS
3.Fill in the IP address and port number for the LDAP or LDAPS server. For LDAP, the default port number is 389; for LDAPS, the default port number is 636.
4.Set the time in seconds that the KL9108 / KL9116 waits for an LDAP or LDAPS server reply before it times out.
5.Consult the LDAP / LDAPS administrator to ascertain the appropriate entry for this field. For example, the entry might look like this: ou=kn4132,dc=aten,dc=com
6.Key in the LDAP administrator’s username.
7.Key in the LDAP administrator’s password.
8.Set the distinguished name of the search base. This is the domain name where the search starts for user names.
Note: If LDAP Settings is enabled, the LDAP schema for MS Active Directory must be extended. See LDAP Server Configuration, page 123, for details.
