CHA RGING T HE BATTE RY
The pla yer is po wered b y a lithi um-po lymer b atter y. It has no m emory e ffect an d thus it
can be re charg ed at any t ime reg ardle ss of whe ther it i s fully o r parti ally di schar ged.
The uni t can be re charg ed when i t is powe red on or o ff. Whe n the pow er is off, i t takes
about 3～4 h ours to f ully ch arge th e batte ry. When t he powe r is on, it t akes
appro ximat ely ten h ours to c harge t he batt ery. Whe n fully c harge d, the ba ttery c an be
used fo r about t wo hour s.
The uni t can be ch arged u sing th e AC/DC Ada pter or t he Vehic le DC Pow er Adapt er.
By AC/DC A dapte r:
Conne ct the AC/ DC adap ter to th e the uni t, then p lug the a dapte r
into a 0 VAC outl et.
By Vehic le DC Pow er Adapt er:
Plug on e end of th e dapt er into t he jack on t he unit ,
then pl ug the ot her end i nto the socke t of a car.
Do not ch arge th e DVD pla yer in th e vehic le when t he vehi cle is no t runni ng.
While t he unit i s charg ing, th e red cha rge ind icato r will fl ash. Wh en the ba ttery i s fully
charg ed, the r ed char ge indi cator w ill be st eadil y lit.

Use an d Mainte nance o f the Rec harge able Ba ttery

1.The w orkin g tempe ratur e of the re charg eable b atter y is 32 °F (0 °C) to 95 °F ( 35 °C).
2. Alway s unplu g the uni t when it i s not bei ng used o r charg ed.
3. If you d o not pla n to use th e batte ry for an e xtend ed peri od of tim e (one we ek or
longe r), we re comme nd that y ou full y charg e the bat tery. Fo r longe r perio ds of
stora ge, ple ase rec harge t he batt ery at le ast onc e every t wo mont hs to mai ntain t he
batte ry in opt imum co nditi on.
4. Once t he batt ery is fu lly dis charg ed, imm ediat ely rec harge t he batt ery (re gardl ess of
wheth er you pl an to use t he DVD pl ayer or n ot) in or der to ma ximiz e batte ry life .
5. Rech arge ef ficie ncy wil l degra de when t emper ature s drop be low 50 °F (1 0°C) or
excee d 95 °F (35 °C) .
6. The ba ttery c ompar tment c ontai ns a temp eratu re sens or. If the t emper ature e xceed s
104 °F (40 °C ) when ch argin g the uni t, the po wer wil l turn of f autom atica lly and t he red
charg e indic ator on t he side o f the uni t will fl ash. In t his cas e, disc onnec t the pow er
adapt er, wait f or the un it to coo l down, t hen rec onnec t the pow er adap ter.
