| 1. Machine does not move, or moves sluggishly. | • Confirm that the main drain is closed, if you have one. |
| • Backwash filter and empty pump basket. |
| • Check diaphragm for damage or wear |
| (see Quick Access Cassette System). |
| • Check for air in system. If water level in pump |
| basket drops or you notice excessive air bubbles in |
| pump basket or coming from jets, you have air in the |
| system. Check hose connections, tighten all fittings at |
| pump, check gasket in pump basket for wear. |
| • Increase flow by adjusting FlowKeeper valve to higher |
| setting. |
| Note: In water 600 F or less, it may be necessary to |
| increase flow to compensate for the reduced flexibility |
| of the hose and diaphragm. To increase flow, adjust |
| FlowKeeper Valve to higher setting. |
| 2. Machine does not cover entire pool. | • Point return jets as far down as possible. |
| • Make sure hose does not have memory from |
| being coiled (see Care and Maintenance). |
| • Confirm proper hose length. |
| • Increase setting on FlowKeeper Valve if necessary. |
| 3. Machine sticks on ladder. | • Decrease setting on FlowKeeper Valve to lower flow |
| and to bring the cleaner off the wall. |
| • Remove ladder if possible. |
| • Install large wheel deflector. (see Zodiac Accessories) |
| 4. Machine sticks in steps. | • Ensure correct amount of hose is being used |
| (see Assembly). Shorten if necessary. |
| • Reduce setting on the FlowKeeper Valve. |
| • Install large wheel deflector. |
| 5. Machine stays on walls or edge of pool. | • Reduce setting on the FlowKeeper Valve. |
| 6. Machine won’t climb walls. | • Increase flow by adjusting FlowKeeper Valve to |
| higher setting. |
