4. TROUBLESHOOTING4.1 Basic Troubleshooting
Problem solving
Inthis chapter some problems that might occur while using ClickShare are listed. For each problem possible causes are given and
asolution is proposed. Ifyou cannot solve the problem y ourself,please contactyour local IT administrator.
Problem Cause Solution
You are th e fifthperson that wants to
share his content tothe display. Only
fourscreens can appear simultaneously.
Amessage appearson your computer.
Clickand hold the Button to use the Show
me full screenfunction of ClickShare.
Referto "Advanced Use", page 15.
Yourscreen is not shown on the display
whenpressing the Button.
The ClickShare client software is not
running.
Goto the ClickShare drive and run the
software.
Youraudio signal on your PC is muted Rightclick on the speaker icon and switch
offthe mute.
Audioon the Ba se Unit isdisabled. Youor an administrator should change
the correspondingsetting via the web
interface.
Audiosystem of the m eeting room is not
switched on
Switch on the audio system of the
meeting room.
When usings eparateaudio, audiocable
isno t connected.
Check audio connection between the
BaseUnit (audio out, green connector)
and the audio system of the meeting
room.
Defaultspeaker is not correctly set . Witha Buttoninserted, set ClickShare
speakeras your default speaker.
AudioFunc tionalityis not enabled inthe
BaseUnit.
Enable Audio Functionalityin the Base
Unit’s web interfacean d re-pairthe
dongles.
Yourscreen is shown, but your audio is
notplaying on the meeting room audio
system
Buttonsare not re-pairedafter changing
theaudio setting on the web interface
Re-pairthe buttons.
Yourcontent is removed from the display
andthe LEDs of your Button are blinking
white.
Connectionto the display has been lost. ClickSharetries to restore the connection
automatically. If this fails, the LEDs of
theButton start blinking red. Youshould
unplugthe Button from your laptop and
starta new.
Thedisplay isswitched off. Switcho n the display.
Wronginput is selected. Selectthe correct input.
The display cable is not connected
(correctly).
(Re)insertthe display cable to the display
and theB aseU nit.
The display does not recognize or is
notable to display the Base Unit output
resolution.
Youor an administrator should change
the correspondingsetting via the web
interface.
TheBase Unitis in standby mode. Briefly push the standby button on the
BaseUnit or plug in a Button and run the
ClickShareclient software.

Nothingis shown on the display at all.

Re-pairand update the software of the
Buttonby inserting it in the front USB port
of Base Unit.
