Set Up P rint S erver ’s IP A ddress
The Pr int S erve r mu st ha ve a u niqu e IP addre ss i n ord er to be
recog nized by t he ne twor k.
You can set up th e IP addre ss o n the vari ous UNIX /Lin ux sy stems
using any o ne of the foll owing meth ods:
1. DHCP (Dyn amic Host Conf igur ation Prot ocol )
2. BOOTP (Boot stra p Pro tocol )
The Pr int S erve r wi ll us e the last two meth ods t o obt ain i ts IP
addre ss au toma tical ly if its IP ad dres s is conf igur ed as “Auto ”
(0.0.0 .0).
