INTRODUCTION

Your Inflator is designed to be used in and around the home using its 120 volt cord or in most vehicles with a standard 12 volt socket using its 12 volt adaptor cord. As with any battery operated appliance, when the Inflator is used in 12 volt mode, performance will vary directly with the battery’s state of charge. Naturally, the higher the current drawn by the Inflator, the more the battery power will be decreased.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: Risk of Bursting. Too much air pressure causes a hazardous risk of bursting. Check the manufacturer's maximum pressure rating for objects being inflated.

VALVE ADAPTOR

• To operate the valve adaptor, position the lever

straight up (figure A1). Note: Always leave lever up

when not in use.

• Push the valve adaptor down over the threaded

section of the valve stem, or one of the three

accessories provided with your Inflator (figure A2).

When the adaptor is down all the way over the threads, press the lever down with your finger to lock it in place. (figure A3)

To release the adaptor, lift the lever straight up

and pull the adaptor off.

Operate your Inflator only with the nozzles

included or with standard tire valves.

Make sure that the universal valve adaptor is

firmly locked in place before turning the Inflator on

(figure A4).

NOTE: Many inflatable, especially air mattresses,

have an internal flap that prevents air loss during inflation.

Unless this flap is displaced by the nozzle the mattress will not

B

inflate. Push the nozzle firmly into the valve to ensure that you

push this flap out of the way.

PRESSURE GAUGE

Your Inflator is equipped with a built-in pressure gauge that will automatically shut off when a predetermined air pressure is reached. The gauge, which is located on the top of the Inflator, will give a pressure reading in P.S.I. (pounds per square inch) as well as in kilopascals (newtons per square meter). In the case of vehicle tires, it is recommended that the pressure reading be verified by checking with a separate tire gauge.

To use the automatic shut off feature:

WARNING: Do not leave inflator running unattended. It could burst tires or other items. (Maximum pressure - 160 p.s.i.)

Turn the ring on the pressure gauge (figure B) until the pointer is aligned with the desired pressure.

When the Inflator reaches the desired pressure, it will automatically shut off.

To obtain an accurate pressure measurement, turn the Inflator OFF when reading the gauge. The gauge has an accuracy of + or - 3 % at any pressure reading.

ACCESSORY USAGE

Place the universal valve adapter over the stem of the inflation needle or tapered nozzle.

Press lever on universal valve adapter down to lock in place.

Place inflation needle or tapered nozzle into object to be inflated. NOTE: The extension and standard tapered nozzles and the needle inflator nozzle shown in figure C are provided with your Inflator. Store the inflation needle inside one of the tapered nozzles and snap tapered nozzles into the storage slots located on the bottom

of the Inflator. (figure C).
