CHARGING PROCEDURE- FIGURES I, J, K

The battery can be removed from the tiller for charging or left in place. To remove the battery refer to figure H.

CHARGING WITH BATTERY IN PLACE IN TILLER 1. Remove safety key I-1.

2. Align the charger plug I-2with the arrow I-4on top and insert the charger plug into the receptacle I-3on the tiller (green terminalto greenterminal, white terminal to white terminal).

2. With the battery removed, insert the

1. Remove safety key I-1.charger plug J-1

(with the arrow on top) into the receptacle J-2on the battery. The charger connector can only be plugged into the tiller receptacle or battery one way.

3.Insert the 120 volt plug K-1 of the charger K-2 into the wall receptacle.

4.The red LED K-3on the charger should come on indicating you have power and the battery is being charged. Check the charger for the red LED, if it is not on check the charger connector for proper alignment (step 2). The red LED should extinguish and the green LED will come on when charging is complete (takes approximately 20 hours to charge a fully discharged battery).

5.It is recommended to leave the battery on constant charge (between tiller uses) for optimum performance during the tilling season.
