Background Removal

Color documents can be scanned in monochrome with their background removed. This feature is convenient for scanning newspapers, background-colored documents or the like.

When the Photo original is selected in the Original Type (see page 29), this Background Removal setting is not available.

1 Select “Adjustment”. (See page 32)

2 Select “Background Removal”.

3 Adjust the Background Removal level with “-” and “+”, and then select “OK”.

4 Select “OK”.

Contrast

The scanning contrast can be adjusted to match
