Navigational icons

Configuring handheld options

After you are familiar with your handheld, you should configure some of its basic

options. Refer to "Options" on page 235 for more information on selecting

notification profiles and setting the Auto On/Off feature.

You are currently within an area of wireless coverage. This icon

indicates the strength of that coverage.

Your handheld is in an area of wireless coverage but you can only

place emergency calls. You can still place emergency calls if your

handheld is locked with a password or your SIM card is removed.

Your handheld is not in an area of wireless coverage. You cannot send

or receive email, SMS, or PIN messages, place or answer phone calls, or

browse web pages. You can continue to use the other applications on

your handheld. Any pending messages are sent after you return to an

area of wireless coverage.

You are currently in your network Home Zone. This icon might appear

if you subscribe to a Home Zone plan. Contact your service provider or

network operator for more information on Home and City Zones.
