AMPLIFIER/SUB-OUT

TMC for dynamic navigation systems

TMC stands for ÒTraffic Message ChannelÓ.

Traffic reports are broadcast digitally using TMC, which means they can be used by compatible navigation systems during route planning. Your car sound system has a TMC output, which you can use for connecting Blaupunkt nav- igation systems. You can find out from your Blaupunkt dealer which naviga- tion systems can be used with your car sound system.

Amplifier/sub-out

The car sound system provides con- nections that allow you to connect ex- ternal amplifiers. You can also connect a subwoofer to the deviceÕs integrated low-pass filter. In order for this to work, the amplifier and subwoofer must be connected in the manner described in the installation instructions. We recom- mend you use well-matched products from the Blaupunkt or Velocity product ranges.

Switching the internal amplifier on/off

If you use external amplifiers, you can switch off the deviceÕs internal amplifi- er (ÒINTERNAL AMP OFFÓ setting).

Note:

Please check this setting if the loudspeakers do not emit any sound.

Press the MENU button 9.

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒVARIOUSÓ display item.

Repeatedly press the softkey 5 assigned to the ÒAMP ONÓ display item until the ÒINTERNAL AMP ONÓ or ÒINTERNAL AMP OFFÓ setting that you want is displayed. The ÒAMP ONÓ softkey will be dis- played with a dark background if the internal amplifier is switched on.

Press the joystick OK 8 or the MENU button 9 to close the menu.

The settings are saved.
