EXTERNAL AUDIO SOURCES

External audio sources

You can connect up to two external au- dio sources to the device. Audio sourc- es can, for example, be portable CD players, MiniDisc players or MP3 play- ers.

You can connect the first external au- dio source (AUX1) instead of a CD changer.

You can connect the second external audio source (AUX2) in addition to the CD changer or AUX1.

In order to be able to use the AUX in- puts, you must activate them in the set- up menu.

If you want to connect an external au- dio source, you will need an adapter cable. You can obtain this cable from a Blaupunkt dealer.

Switching the AUX input on/off

Press the MENU button 9.

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒAUXÓ display item.

The AUX menu is displayed.

Press the softkey 5assigned to the ÒAUX1Ó display item if no CD changer is connected and you want to connect an external audio source.

By pressing the ÒAUX1Ó softkey you can switch between the ÒAUX- ILIARY 1 ONÓ and ÒAUXILIARY 1 OFFÓ settings.

Press the softkey 5 assigned to the ÒAUX2Ó display item. By press- ing the ÒAUX2Ó softkey you can switch between the ÒAUXILIARY 2 ONÓ and ÒAUXILIARY 2 OFFÓ set- tings.

Note:

If a CD changer is connected, you cannot change the ÒAUX1Ó input.

Press the joystick OK 8 or the MENU button 9 to close the menu.

The settings are saved.

Note:

If the AUX inputs are activated,

you can select them by pressing the SOURCE button <.

Naming the AUX input

You can give each AUX input a name so you can recognise them more eas- ily when selecting them using the SOURCE button <(e.g. you can give them the device names that they are connected to).

Press the MENU button 9.

Press the softkey 5 assigned to the ÒAUXÓ display item.

The AUX menu is displayed.

Press the softkey 5 assigned to the ÒEDITÓ display item under ÒAUX1Ó or ÒAUX2Ó.

The default text for the selected input appears in the display. The text input marker flashes at the beginning of the line.
