1. Park the rider on a smooth, level surface such as |

a concrete floor. Disengage the PTO, engage the |
|
| |||
parking brake, turn off the engine, and remove the |

ignition key. |

2. Remove the PTO drive belt (see MOWER BELT |
|

REPLACEMENT for removal instructions). |
|

3. Loosen the nut towards the front of the machine on |
|
| |||
the spring anchor hook (H, Figure 47) to release |
|
| F | ||
the majority of the belt tension. Use caution and |
|
| |||
remove the nut to completely release the tension. |
|
| |||
4. Remove the old belt and replace it with the new |
|
| C | ||
one. Make sure the |
|
| C | ||
grooves of the crankshaft pulley and transmission |
| G | |||
| H | ||||
pulleys (B & C). |
|
|
| ||
|
|
|
| ||
5. Reinstall the anchor hook (H) into the anchor tab |
|
|
| ||
and loosely fasten the nut. Adjust the spring until |
|
| |||
a measurement of 9” (22,86cm) is achieved from |
|
|
| ||
the outside of the spring hooks. Tighten nut. |
|
|
| ||
6. Reinstall the PTO drive belt. |

To charge the battery, follow the instructions provided by the battery charger manufacturer as well as all warnings included in the safety rules sections of this book. Charge the battery until fully charged. Do not charge at a rate higher than 10 amps.
