9-6. Adjusting the movable knife

Loosen the nut (2) and move thread trimmer rod L (3) to the left or right to adjust so that the V section A of the movable

knife (1) is aligned with the index mark B on the needle plate when the machine is at the stop position.

■ Replacing the movable and fixed knives

1. Remove the screws (1) and the f eed plat e (2). Then te ar off the auxil iar y pla te sheet (3) . Rem ove screws (4) and (5),

and needle plate (6). Now disconnect the thread cutter connecting ro d (7) from stud (8). (Figure is BAS-342F.)
