Call Reservation

You can send a fax an d let the other par ty know that you w ant to

speak to him after the fax transmission is completed. The other fax

machine will ring as if it were receiving a telephone call; if the other

party picks up the handset, your machine will ring. To have a

conversation, lift the handset.

If you set Call Reservation and Call Back message to ON, your

machine leaves a message if the other party does not answer.

Insert the document face down in the ADF.

Press Menu/Set, 3, 6.

The screen displays t he

current setting for Call Reservation.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select ON (or OFF).

Press Menu/Set.

If you set Call Reservation to ON, the LCD shows the current

setting for Call Back Messa ge.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select ON (or OFF).

Press Menu/Set.

Press 1 if you want to select add itional settings. The displa y

returns to the SETUP SEND menu.

Press 2 if you are finished choosin g settings, a nd go to Step 6.

Enter the fax number, and press Fax Start.

If you’ve set Call Reservation to ON, pick up your handset if

your machine rings.

You cannot use auto redial wit h Call Reservation. You cannot

use Call Reservation w ith Delayed Transmi ssion or with

Polling. You must register your Station ID to set Call Back

Message to ON.
