Changing the P-touch’s Baud Rate

The PT-9200DX’s default baud rate for a serial connection is 115,200 bps. Some computers may not support a serial port baud rate of 115,200 bps. If so, follow the procedure below to change the P-touch’s baud rate to 9,600 bps. In addition, the baud rate for the port must also be set to 9,600 bps.

1Turn off the PT-9200DX.

2Hold down the power button for about five seconds.

3Release the power button when it begins flashing in red and green.

4The baud rate of the PT-9200DX has been set to the slower baud rate of 9,600 bps.
