ToSelect:
1. Enter configurationmode (if not already there).
2. Use up and down buttons todisplay Option 21. The SET
iconshould be off.
3. Press MODE button once. The SET icon willcome on. The
displaynow shows Option 21 setting.
4. Use up and down buttons to move between available
Option 21 choices of ON or OF. Factory default is OF.
5. Press MODE button ag ain to return to Option 21. The SET
iconwill now be off.
6. Use up and down buttons toselect another Option,or press
FANbutton to exit configurationmode.
Installer Test Mode
Installer test will be initiated by pressing the fan button for 20
seconds(15 seconds will enter installersetup) “InS”will appear on
the screen and the SERVICE icon will b e illuminated.
In installer test mode, pressing the MODE button will ch ange the
systemoperating mode. Note that AUTO mode is not availablein
installer test. Heating and cooling modes must b e tested
independently.
1. If the mo de is set to HEAT,th e first stage of heating will be
energizedfor three minutes(180 seconds), andthen the first
and second stages (if a second stage exists) will turn on for
anadditional three minutes.Installertest will always attempt
to run a second stageoutput whether it is attached or not,
providing a minimumof 6 minutes of firststage operation.
At the end of the 6 minute period, the MOD E will return to
OFF.
2. Pressing the FAN button while the heating or cooling
equipment is not running willturn on the FAN relay and
displaythe FAN icon.
3. If the mode is set to COOL, the firststage of cooling turns
on for three, then first and second stages (if a second stage
exists) will turn on for three minu tes.
4. If the mode is set to EHEAT, auxiliary heat turns on for
threeminutes, then the mode returnsto OFF.
Terminating Installer Test
After 15 minutes of inactivity (no button presses by the installer),
thermostat will automatically revert to n ormal operation. Pressing
RESET FILTER any time during installer test will terminate
installertest and returnthe thermostat to normaloperation.
Step 5 -- C heck Thermostat Operation
Fan Operation
1. Press FAN button,starting continuous fan operation. FAN
iconturns on.
2. Press FANbutton again, stopping fan operation. FANicon
turns off.(Some fan coils have 90 second fanoff delay, so
fanmay not stop immediately.)
Checklist
1. Run equipment through severalheating and cooling cycles
to ensureproper operation.
2. If equipment is to be left in operation, setpoint and
operatingmode must be properly selected.
3. Put away tools andinstruments, and cleanup debris.
4. Review Homeowner’sGuide with owner.
5. Leave literatu re packet with owner.
