Up and Down Buttons
increase or decrease the desired temperature settin g.
FANB utton
choosesbetween CONTINUOUS FAN andAUTO FAN operation.
MODE Button
selectsbetween OFF, HEAT, COOL, AUTO, and OFF operation.
Heat pump thermostat models also include an EMERGENCY
HEATmode.
LOW BATTERYIndicator
will light when batteries (if installed) need to be replaced.
SERVICE FILTER Indicator
letsyou know it is time to clean or replaceyour system’s airfilter.
Room Temperature Display
showscurrent room temperature.
COOL ON Indicator
isdisplayed when the cooling equipmentis operating.
HEATON Indicator
isdisplayed when the heatingequipment is operating.
RESET FILTERButton
restarts the timer that calculates the next air filter chan ge or
cleaning.
AUXILIARYHEAT Indicator
is displayed when a heat pump system is operating with auxiliary
heat air filter.
SETTING & OPERATINGTHE THERMOSTAT
Settingyour indoor temperatureset points
1. Press the UP or DOWN button.
The LCD readout will be illuminated and the heating or
coolingtemperature set point willbe displayed, but will not
change. Next to the temperatu re display, HEAT or COOL
indicateswhich temperatureset point is being displayed.
2. Continue to press the UP or DOWN buttons until your
desired heating or cooling temperature set point is
displayed.
3. Press the MODE button to select the second temp erature
setting (either HEAT or COOL).
4. Press the UPor DOWN buttons until your second desired
temperatureset point is displayed.
NOTE: Your COOL setting m ust be at least 2_higherthan your
HEAT setting. Your thermostat will automatically change your
previously set temperature to maintain that 2_difference.
Setting fan operation
1. Press the FAN button to switch between ON and AU TOfan
se ttings.
FANon indicator will be displayedon LCD. When the ON
mode isselected, the fan runscontinuously for improved air
circulation.
When the AUTO mode is selected, the fan runs only as
needed to maintainyour desired indoor temperature.FAN
on indicatoris not displayed on LCD.
Settingmode operation
1. Press the MODE button.
2. On the LCD readout, the words OFF, HEAT, COOL, and
AUTO will rotate as the MODE butto n is pressed.
If you have a heat pump, the LCD readout will show OFF,
HEAT, COOL, AUTO, and EMERGENCY HEAT
(EHEAT).
NOTE: In AUTO mode,your system will heatOR cool as needed
to reach your desiredtemperature.AUTO mode may be disabled.
