How to understand the STATUS LED colours
The STATUS LED pr ovides important inform ation that will provide
solutions to common questions, such as why a High Denition (HD)
movie is not showing or shows with pixels. The STATUS LED indicator
will vary its colou r depending on the estim ated speed of the Powerl ine
connection. The speed is measured in Megabytes Per Second
(Mbps).
Colour Informati on
RED
The current connecti on is less than 4Mbps, no rmal internet
activities are possible but the Powerline is unable to transmit
either Standard Movies or Hi gh Denition (HD) Movies
ORANGE
The current connection is greater than 4Mbp s and less than
10Mbps, normal internet ac tivities are possible an d the
network is able to t ransmit a single Stan dard Movie but not
an HD Movie.
GREEN
The c urrent connection is greater than 10Mbps; t he
Powerline is c apable of tran smitting Standar d and HD
Movies as well as normal interne t activities.
NOTE: If the H DTV video bandwidth is lo wer than 10Mbps, it may be pos-
sible to stream the vi deo with an ORA NGE STATUS LED in some
cases.

1. How do I convert an AP into an E P?
• Make sure the Powerline adapter i s plugged directly into the
electrical outlet and tha t it is powered on.
• Do a factory reset (see Step 2 on pg. 7 for the Factory Reset
procedure).
2. How do I convert an EP int o an AP?
• Make sure the Powerline adapter i s plugged directly into the
electrical outlet and tha t it is powered on.
• Press CONFIG/ RESET button until i ts AP/ST BY LED starts
blinking.
• Wait until con guration peri od nishes (30 sec onds). At that
