Step 2: Configuring your computers IP address

Windows XP/2000 users:

◗Click Start ➲ Control Panel

◗Double Click Network connections

◗Right-Click on appropriate Local Area Network Connection and select Properties.

◗Scroll down and highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/ IP) and then click Properties.

◗Select Obtain IP address automatically.

◗Click OK to close Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties.

For Windows 98SE/ME

◗Right-click on Network Neighborhood and select Properties.

◗Select the Confi guration tab, scroll down to highlight TCP/ IP and click Properties.

◗Select Obtain IP address automatically.

◗Click OK to close Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties.

◗Click OK to close Network Connection Properties.
