TROUBLESHOOTING

A troubleshooting guide is provided to suggest probable causes and remedies for the most likely problems encountered. If the problem remains after exhausting the troubleshooting steps, contact the Bunn-O-Matic Technical Service Department.

¥Inspection, testing, and repair of electrical equipment should be performed only by qualified service personnel.

¥All electronic components have 120 volt ac and low voltage dc potential on their terminals. Shorting of terminals or the application of external voltages may result in board failure.

¥Intermittent operation of electronic circuit boards is unlikely. Board failure will normally be permanent. If an intermittent condition is encountered, the cause will likely be a switch contact or a loose connection at a terminal or crimp.

¥Solenoid removal requires interrupting the water supply to the valve. Damage may result if solenoids are energized for more than ten minutes without a supply of water.

¥The use of two wrenches is recommended whenever plumbing fittings are tightened or loosened. This will help to avoid twists and kinks in the tubing.

¥Make certain that all plumbing connections are sealed and electrical connections tight and isolated.

¥This brewer is heated at all times. Keep away from combustibles.

WARNING Ð ¥ Exercise extreme caution when servicing electrical equipment.

¥Unplug the brewer when servicing, except when electrical tests are specified.

¥Follow recommended service procedures.

¥Replace all protective shields or safety notices.

Before troubleshooting this brewer, check for the following:

Control Boards

1.Make sure ribbon cable is properly attached to the control board (ALL PINS INSERTED INTO PLUG).

2.Make sure there is a nylon insulating washer under each screw head that holds the control board to the plastic front end cap. This is important for proper operation.

3.Make sure before servicing brewer that voltage is present at control board.

4.Press any warmer switch or observe if any indicator lights are glowing on the control panel. If so, proceed with testing. If not, check for voltage across pins 1 & 2 of the ten pin J1 connector (black and white wires). If voltage is present, replace the control board. If voltage is not present, check wiring and voltage across terminal block (black and white). Correct the problem and retest before proceeding with testing.

CDBC TC, CDBC APS, CDBCF TC, CDBCF APS specifications

The Bunn CDBCF series of coffee brewers is an essential tool for any coffee business, renowned for its reliability and efficiency. This series offers different models including the CDBCF APS (Automatic Pour-Over) and CDBCF TC (thermo carafe), among others. Each of these brewers is designed to produce exceptional quality coffee while ensuring ease of use.

One of the main features of the Bunn CDBCF APS is its automatic pour-over capability, which ensures that water is heated to the perfect brewing temperature and dispensed consistently. This model is equipped with a stainless steel water tank that maintains optimal water temperature, resulting in flavorful coffee extraction. Furthermore, the APS model allows for quick brewing cycles, producing up to 3.8 gallons of coffee per hour, making it ideal for high-demand environments.

The CDBCF TC model, on the other hand, utilizes a thermal carafe to keep coffee hot for extended periods without the need for a hot plate. This technology not only preserves the coffee’s flavors and aromas but also minimizes energy consumption. The thermal carafe can hold up to 1.9 liters of brewed coffee, making it efficient for serving in busy settings.

Both models in the CDBCF series come with a simple interface for straightforward programming and operation. Features such as the BrewLOGIC technology help regulate the brewing time and monitor water flow to ensure consistency. This is particularly beneficial in maintaining the quality of coffee across multiple brewing batches.

In terms of build quality, Bunn CDBCF brewers are constructed with durable materials designed to withstand the wear and tear of daily use in busy coffee shops. Their compact design requires minimal counter space while providing a high volume of output.

Overall, the Bunn CDBCF APS and TC models stand out for their advanced brewing technologies, versatility, and user-friendly design. They cater perfectly to coffee enthusiasts and business owners looking for reliable brewing solutions that deliver consistent quality and taste. With the Bunn CDBCF series, coffee brewing becomes not only an art but also an efficient and seamless process.
