The SmartSwitch 9000
The SmartSwitch 9000 chassis is a networking platform that provides support for the configuration and operation of up to 14 Cabletron Systems SmartSwitch 9000 interface modules.

Multiple Technology Support
The design of the chassis allows it to provide support for existing and future Local Area Networking technologies such as Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Token Ring, Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI), Systems Network Architecture (SNA), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM).
