CHAPTER 5LOCAL MANAGEMENT
This chapter explains how to configure the BRIM-E100 through Local
Management. The BRIM-E100 Setup screen appears as a Local
Management selection and displays the current settings of the
BRIM-E100 after the BRIM-E100 is installed into a MIM or standalone
hub. Local Management allows the user to set these parameters manually.
Refer to the MIM or standalone hub User’s Guide for instructions about
how to set up and access Local Management.
Complete the following steps before configuring the BRIM-E100 through
Local Management.
A Fast Ethernet Interface Module must be installed in the BRIM-E100.
The BRIM-E100 must be installed in a MIM or standalone hub.
The device must be up and running.
A Local Management terminal must be configured and properly
connected to the intelligent device in which the BRIM resides.
