Adjusting the Brightness

(Exposure Compensation)

You can adjust the standard exposure set by the camera in 1/3-stop increments in the range of -2 to +2.

Enter Exposure Compensation mode.

z Touch #.

Adjust the brightness.

zWhile looking at the screen, touch the bar,

or drag it left or right, to adjust the brightness, then touch Ú.

XThe exposure compensation amount will appear on the screen.

You can also make settings in the FUNC. menu that appears when you touch ø.

Turning the Flash On

You can make the flash fire every time you shoot.

The effective flash range is approximately 50 cm – 5.0 m (1.6 – 16 ft.) at maximum wide angle (j), and approximately 50 cm – 2.0 m (1.6 – 6.6 ft.) at maximum telephoto (i).

Choose h.

zTouch Enter Exposure Compensation mode. , then touch h.

zTouch h again to make the setting. X Once set, h will appear on the screen.

The edges of the image may darken if the flash fires.

You can also choose items by touching Turning the Flash On.
