9 Close the front unit by gently pushing it up on both sides until it clicks into place. Make sure that the front unit is completely closed by pushing until you hear a click.

10 Close the document eject tray.

Adjusting the Reduction Ratio

The two rollers (feed roller and retard roller) installed in the scanner are consumable parts that wear with scanning.

If the rollers are worn, scanned images may become stretched in the vertical direction. If this happens, you can reduce the amount of stretching of the image by adjusting the reduction ratio.

1 Start Windows and log in as a user with administrator privileges.

2 Click the Start button, and then click [All Programs], [Canon DR-M160], and [Canon imageFORMULA Utility].

imageFORMULA Utility starts.

3 Click [Canon DR-M160 USB] and click [Properties].

Scanner properties are displayed.
