The self-timer/lock lever of the camera has three settings. With the lever at ”A,” press the shutter button halfway to activate the meter. To release the shutter, gen- tly press the shutter button all the way down. When the level is at ”L,” the shutter button is locked. Shutter release is electromagnetic as long as there is a battery in the camera.
