Focus Bracketing (Focus-BKT Mode)

The camera automatically takes three shots: one at the manual focus position, and one each with focus positions preset nearer and farther. The nearer and farther focus positions can be set in three steps: large, medium and small. Images are shot with the focus position changing in the following order; current position, farther and nearer.

The three shots are taken at the same interval as high-speed continuous

shooting.

Continuous Shooting (p. 62)

1Select * (BKT-Off) from the FUNC. menu and use the W or X to select (Focus-BKT), then press the SET button.

* The current setting is displayed.

2Set the amount of focus positionoffset with the W or X button.

z Press the X button to broaden or the W button to narrow the focusing distance from the center.

z You can shoot the image right after selecting settings by pressing the shutter button. The menu displays again after the shot, allowing you to change the settings easily.

3Press the FUNC. button and shoot the image with the manual focus (p. 111).

z The Focus-BKT mode is not available when shooting with the flash on. Only one image at the manual focus position will be taken.

z Three images are shot continuously regardless of the continuous shooting setting (p. 62).
