2.When the image is focused, press the shutter button the rest of the way to shoot.

IMPORTANT!

During movie recording, the Auto Focus mode is disabled.

NOTE

When proper focusing is not possible because the subject is closer than the Auto Focus range, the camera will switch to the Macro Focus range automatically (Auto Macro).

Whenever you perform an optical zoom operation while shooting with Auto Focus, a value will appear on the monitor screen as shown below to tell you the focus range.

Example: cm –

* will be replaced by the actual focus range value.

Using Macro Focus

1.Half-press the shutter button to focus the image.

The focus operation is the same as that for Auto Focus.

2.When the image is focused, press the shutter button the rest of the way to shoot.

IMPORTANT!

Use of the flash along with Macro Focus can cause the light of the flash to become blocked, which can produce unwanted lens shadows in your image.

Macro Focus becomes fixed focus while shooting a movie.
