This section provides information on performing basic keyboard operations.
To play the keyboard
1Press the POWER button to turn the keyboard on.2Set the MODE switch to NORMAL.

To select a tone
1Find the tone you want to use in the TONE List and note its tone number.•Not all of the available tones are shown on the tone list printed on the keyboard console. For a complete list, see the “Tone List” on page
•If the keyboard is connected to a TV, the tone list appears on the TV screen. For information about connecting to a TV, see “VIDEO OUT Jack” on page

•Always input all three digits for the tone number, including leading zeros (if any). If you input one or two digits and stop, the display will automatically clear your input after a few seconds.
•You can also increment the displayed tone number by pressing [+] and decrement it by pressing
•When one of the drum sets is selected (tone numbers 256 through 263), each keyboard key is assigned a different percussion sound. See page
