You can use the procedure below to record your play during practice with one of the digital piano’s
You can specify which parts you want to practice, and the keyboard plays the remaining parts as accompaniment.
Getting Ready
•Press the SONG/USER button or PIANO button to select the mode that contains the tune you want to use for recording.
1Press the SONG MEMORY button to enter record standby.
•This causes the SONG MEMORY button indicator lamp to flash.
2Select the tune you want to use for recording.
3Use the TRACK button to select the part you want to record.
4Configure the following settings as required.
•Tone (page
•Tempo (page
5Press the START/STOP button to start recording.
6Play the required notes on the keyboard.
7To stop recording, press the START/STOP button again.
•This will stop the recording operation.
*If you want to immediately hear what you recorded, press the START/STOP button again.
Song Recording Data
In addition to your keyboard play and chord accompaniment, the following data is also stored by a song recording operation.
•Tone setting
•Tempo setting
•Tune name
•Recording part
•Pedal operations
•Layer and split settings
•Reverb and chorus settings
•PITCH BEND wheel operations
Use this procedure when you want to record accompaniments and keyboard play in real time.
Getting Ready
•Press the RHYTHM button to enter the rhythm mode.
1Press the SONG MEMORY button to enter record standby.
•This causes the SONG MEMORY button indicator lamp to flash.
2Use the TRACK button to select Track 1.

*Use a slower tempo if you feel you might have trouble playing properly at a faster tempo (page

• Any chords you play on the keyboard are recorded, along with their Auto Accompaniment patterns. Melody notes you play are also recorded.
• Any pedal operations you perform while playing are also recorded.
6 To stop recording, press the START/STOP button again.

NOTE
•Recording a performance to a track that already contains data causes the existing data to be replaced by your new performance.
Playing Back a Song Recording
Getting Ready
•Press the SONG MEMORY button to enter playback standby.
1Press the START/STOP button.
•This starts playback of Song Memory contents.
•Use the TEMPO buttons to adjust the tempo.
2To stop playback, press the START/STOP button again.
