If the fastex buckle components need to be refitted the other way round (e.g. for fitting the baby seat in the centre), thread the end of the belt through as illustrated.

1.2.1 Preparing the safety belts

1.2.1.1 On luxury models

Remove the padded shoulder harness by unthreading it from the strap fasteners on the back rest. For fitting the baby seat in the centre, both shoulder straps must be removed.

1.2.1.2 On standard models

Loosen the shoulder harness at the fastex buckle on the back rest.

1.2.1.3 only for the Captain XL and Corsaire XL models

As regards the Captain XL and Corsaire XL models, in the final version there is a problem when fitting the Chariot baby seat in line with the fitting instructions as stated, in that its final position is too low. This would mean that the baby might come into contact with the seat of the transporter itself.

Contrary to the current fitting instructions, please ensure that you fit the Chariot baby seat to the Captain XL and Corsaire XL models as follows:

Follow all steps up to (and inclusive of) section 1.2.1 of the fitting instructions

Then guide the tensioning strap supplied through the lateral flaps that are at the bottom towards the front and pull it very tight. The tensioning strap and flaps should be positioned in front of the vertical frame tubes, when viewed from the inside of the transporter.
