Administration > Diagnostics

Administration diagnostics allow you to check the status of your Internet connection by using a Ping test.

Select the Diagnostics tab to open the Administration Diagnostics page.

Use the descriptions and instructions in the following table to configure the diagnostics feature on the gateway. After you make your selections, click Save Settings to apply your changes or Cancel Changes to cancel.

The IP address that you want to ping

 

 

Ping Size

 

 

The size of the packet you want to use

 

 

Number of Pings

 

 

The number of times you wish to ping the target device

 

 

Ping Interval

 

 

The time period (milliseconds) between each ping

 

 

Ping Timeout

 

 

The desired time period (milliseconds) of the timeout. If no

 

 

response is received within this ping period, the ping test is

 

 

considered a failure

 

 

Start Test

 

 

To start a test, complete the following steps.

 

 

1 Click Start Test to begin the text. A new page opens and

 

 

displays a summary of the test results.

 

 

2 Click the Save Settings to save the test results or click

 

 

Cancel Changes to cancel the test.
