IP/TV Viewer Demo Installation

Step 6 The Software License Agreement window appears. If you agree to the license terms, choose the corresponding button and click Next.

Step 7 In the User Information window, enter your name, your company name, and whether you are installing the application for all users of the local machine or only for a particular user. Click Next to continue.

If you run the installation on Windows 98, the “Install this application for:” radio buttons are hidden, and the demo is automatically installed for current user or all users based on whether profiles are enabled. Similarly, if you do not have administrator privileges and run the installation on Windows NT, the radio buttons are hidden, and the demo and its shortcuts are installed only for the current user. On Windows XP, the radio buttons are visible and you must have administrator privileges.

Step 8 In the Demo Server Host Information window, enter the fully qualified domain name of the demo server or the demo server IP address. Click Next.

Step 9 In the Destination Directory window, you can use the Change button to override the default directory in which IP/TV Viewer will be installed (C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\IPTV Viewer). However, we recommend that you use the default. Click Next.

Step 10 In the Ready to Install the Program window, click Install to begin installation. If you want to review or change any of your installation settings, click Back.

Step 11 After the InstallShield Wizard has successfully installed IP/TV Viewer, click Finish to exit the wizard.

The demo viewer installs the MPEG-2 software decoder to demonstrate IP/TV MPEG-2 quality.

Note The MPEG-2 decoder is not installed by the IP/TV Viewer installation procedure and should be purchased separately.
