Slide the switch towards you and

 

hold it to turn on the power.

2 Cut sheet paper insertion

1This opening is used to insert the cut sheet paper.

3 Roll paper cover

This is the cover of the roll paper.

1Battery cover

Open the battery cover to remove the battery pack.

2Cut sheet paper guide cover

This should not be removed except by service personnel. It is used to clear paper dust and dirt from the cut paper path.
