2.Insert round connector of
wallcharger into the
chargejack located at the
topof the radio. The wall
chargerhas two (2) round
connectorswhich enables
youto charge either one
ortwo (2) radios at a time.
3.Plug the wall charger into electrical outlet.
Itis not recommendedtorecharge batteriesmore
than24hours. Estimatedoperation time on a full
chargeis 12 hours.

radio.Non-rechargeablealkalinebatteries can also

trouble-freeservice if cared for properly. Here are
afew suggestions:
•Handle the radio gently.
•Keep it away from dust.
•Never put the radio in water or in a damp place.
•Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures.
Chargerand RechargeableBatteriesToInsertBatteries in
Radio:
1.Remove belt clip by
releasingbelt clip latch and
slidingclip up.
2.Pull up on lock tab to
removebattery cover (on
backof radio).
3.Insertbatteries according to
polaritymarkings.

Eachport can charge one radio. Uses 230-volt
adaptor.
Cobrarecommends your radio is turned Off while
beingcharged.
RadioPowerToTurnYour Radio On:
Pressand hold the
MODE/POWERbutton until
youhear a series of audible
tonesindicating that the radio
isOn.
YourmicroTALK®radio is now in LISTENING MODE,
readyto receive transmissions. The radio is always
inLISTENING MODE, except when the TALK, CALL
orMODE buttons are pressed.
ToTurnYour Radio Off:
– Press and hold the POWER button.
BatteryLow IndicatorWhenbattery power is low,
theBATTERY LOW indicator
willblink, indicating that
batteriesshould be recharged
orreplaced.
WARNING:Only the supplied
NiMHbatteries
canbe recharged.
Battery/PowerSaverIfthere are no transmissions
within10 seconds, the unit
willautomatically switch to
BatterySave Mode and
POWERSAVER will appear in
thedisplay. This will not affect the unit’s ability
toreceive incoming transmissions.
CommunicatingwithAnotherPerson1.Press and hold the TALK
button.
2.With the microphone about
5cm (2 inches) from your
mouth,speak in a normal
voice.
3.Release the button when
youhave finished talking
andlisten for a response.
Youcannot receive incoming
callswhile pressing the TALK button.
NOTE:Both radios must be tuned to the same
channeland privacy code to communicate.
