UsingYour Radio
Turningon Your microTALKRadio
Rotatethe On/Off Volume knob clockwise to turn
onyour radio and adjust the volume.
Aseries of tones will indicate the radio is on.
YourmicroTALK radio is now in Standby
mode,ready to receive transmissions. The radio
isalways in Standby mode, except when the
Talk,Callor Mode/Lock buttons are pressed.
BatteryLow
Whenbattery power is low, the Battery Low icon
willblink. Your batteries should be recharged or
replacedif using alkaline batteries.
AutoBattery Save
YourmicroTALK radio has a unique circuit
designedto extend battery life. If there are
notransmissions for 10 seconds, the radio will
automaticallyswitch to Battery Save mode and
thePower Saver icon will flash in the display.
Thiswill not affect the radio’s ability to receive
incomingtransmissions.
SignalStrength Meter
YourmicroTALK radio has a Signal Strength
Meterthat shows the strength of your incoming
andoutgoing transmissions. The ascending bars
nextto the signal strength indicate the strength
ofthe signal. The greater the number of bars
visible,the stronger the signal. The fewer
numberof bars visible, the weaker the signal.
Operation
Forcharging microTALK radio(s) in desktop
charger:
1.Insert radio(s) into desktop charger as shown.
2.Insert round connector of 120-volt adapter
intojack on back of charger.
3.Plug 120-volt adapter into electrical outlet.
Ifcharging light is not on, check position of radio. Radio should be
upright.The charge indicator light will stay on as long as the radio
isin the charging well, even after the batteries are fully charged.
Itnormally takes about 15hours to fully recharge batteries.
Batterieswill not be damaged if they stay in the charging well
longerthan that.
Note:To charge a single radio, you can bypass the desktop charger
andsimply insert the wall adapter’s round connector directly into
thespeaker/microphone/charge jack located on the top of the radio.
Useonly the supplied rechargeable batteries and charger for
rechargingyour Cobra microTALK radio.
Cobrarecommends your radio is turned off while being charged.
Non-rechargeablealkaline batteries can also be used in your radio.

2.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto select a channel.
Bothradios must be tuned to
thesame channel/privacy code
tocommunicate.
3.Press and hold the Talk button while
speakinginto the microphone.
4.When finished talking, release the Talk
buttonand listen for a response.
