Mode Functions
10Memory Locations
YourmicroTALK radio has10 Memory Locations for storing
yourmost frequently used channels and channel/privacycode
combinations.These Memory Locations can be selected individually
orcan be scanned. (See page 18 for memory location scan.)
Toprogram a memory location:
1.Press the Mode/Lock button until the
Memoryicon and the memory location
flashon the display.
2.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto select the memory location
(0through 9).
Ifa location has been programmed
before,its associated channel/privacy
codewill be shown on the display.
3.Press the Enter/Hi•Low button to enter
anew memory location or edit an already
programmedmemory location. The channel
numberswill flash on the display.
4.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto select a channel (1 through 22).
5.Press the Enter/Hi•Low button. The privacy
codenumbers will flash on the display.
6.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto select a privacy code (00 to 38).
7.Choose one of the following:
a.Press the Enter/Hi•Low button to enter the channel/privacy
codein the selected memory location and return to the
beginningof memory location options.
b.Press the Mode/Lock button to enter the channel/privacy
codein the selected memory location and proceed to other
functionson the channel/privacy code displayed before
youentered mode functions.
c.Press the Talk button to enter the channel/privacy code in
theselected memory location and return to Standby mode
onthe selected memory location.
Operation
Whilesetting a memory location, if you do not press any buttons
for15 seconds, your radio will automatically return to Standby
modeon the channel/privacy code displayed before you entered
modefunctions.
Torecall a stored memory channel location:
1.Press the Mode/Lock button until the Memory
iconand the memory location number flash
onthe display.
2.Press the Channel Up or Channel Down
buttonto select a memory location
(0through 9).
Ifa location has been programmed
before,its associated channel/privacy
codewill be shown on the display.
3.Press the Talk button to return to Standby
modeon the selected memory location.
Amemory locationcan be reprogrammed
atany time itis displayed. Pressthe
Enter/Hi•Lowbuttonto begin.
Whilerecalling a stored memory location,
ifyou do not press any buttons for 15 seconds,
yourradio will automatically return to Standby
modeon the channel/privacy code displayed
beforeyou entered mode functions.
