ON PROTECTION AGAINST LASE R ENERGY EXPOS URE
As the laser beam used in this comp act disc player is har mful to the eyes, do no t attempt
to disassemble the casing.
Stop operation immediately if a ny liquid or solid o bject should fal l into the cabinet .
Do not put anything in th e safety slo t. If you do, t he laser diod e will be ON when the CD
door is still open.
If the unit is n ot to be used for a long period of time, make sure that all powe r sources
are disconnected from the u nit. Remove all ba tteries from the battery c ompartment , and
unplug the AC-DC adapter from the wall outlet. Make i t a practice to remove the AC -DC
adapter by grasping the main body an d not by pulling the c ord.
This unit employs a laser. Th e use of controls o r adjustmen t or per formance o f proce-
dures other than those speci ed here may result in ex posure to hazar dous radiation .
ON PLACEMENT
Do not use the unit in places which a re extremely hot , cold, dusty, or humi d.
Place the unit on a at and even surfa ce.
Do not restric t the air ow of t he unit by pl acing it in a place with p oor vent ilation, by
covering it with a cloth, or by plac ing it on a carpet.
ON CONDENSATION
When left in a heated room where it is warm and damp, wat er droplets or condensa tion
may form inside the unit.
When there is condensation in side the unit, th e unit may not functi on normally.
Let the unit stand 1 to 2 hours before turn ing the power on, or grad ually heat the room u p
and dry the unit before use.
Should any trouble occur, remove the power source and refer servicing to qualied personnel.
