The power input and the CAN lines are galvanic disconnect with a limit to ± 50V. There is an internal transzorb diode to limit the disconnect voltage.
If you don't need a galvanic disconnect, the pin 6 can be connected to pin 3 or 5.
The POWER_GND pin 6 is not connected with the CiA standard bus in every system. If the tool does not work, pin 6 could have to get connected to the power supply ground!
