Thereare two ways to set up Frame Relay. Oneis to set the WAN inter-
faceas a “numberedinterface.” This means that the interface (and thus
theFrame Relay network) will have an IP address, subnet mask, etc.
Theother is t o set it as an unnumberedi nterface and specifythat the
linkis point-to-point Frame Relay and set the local DLCI.

Theseparameters help supply information about the segment that the
interfaceis connected to. Withthis information, routing can take place.
SetIP RIP 1, IP RIP 2, or OSPF (Open Shortest Path First)
IPStatic Rou tes
CV: Use the TCP/IP Routing: WANDialog Box to set RIP or OSPF,
and theIP Static Routing Dialog Box (under Global/IP Static
Routes)to set staticroutes. Toset parameters for OSPF, refer to
the CompatiViewManagement Software Reference Guide.
TB:Useconfigure and set either the RIPVersionkeyword or the
OSPFEnabledkeyword in the IP WAN 0 (and/or WAN 1)
section. Add static routes and a default router using the edit
configIP Static command.
