Link Configuration
SMDSis presently supported in the MicroRouter

• SetDedicated connection
• SetSMD S connection
CV: Usethe Link Configuration: WANDialog Box.
TB:Useconfigure and then set the Mode and ConnectMode
keywordsin the Link Conf ig WAN0 (and/or WAN 1) section.

SMDS Addressing

Manyof these parameters will be given to you by your service provider.
CV: Usethe Link Configuration: WAN DialogBox and select SMDS
fromthe Link Type pull-down menu. Then click on the SMDS
buttontosetaddresses.
TB: Use configure and set the StationA ddress,IPMulticast and
PollingFrequencykeywords in the SMDS WAN 0 (and/or
WAN1) section.
Saving a Configuration File to Flash ROM
Oncea configuration is complete, you can save it to the router’s Flash
ROM.Until saved, all changes are made in a separate buffer and the
actualrouter interfaces run as before the changes were made.
CV: Usethe Save to/Device option from the File menu.
TB: Use the save command.
