,_ WARNING: To prevent accidental starting that
could cause possible serious personal injury,
.turnoff the saw, lock the knob inthe off position,
and unplug the saw before working on the band,
SaW.
Due to wear or breakage, the drive belt may need to
be replaced. The drive beltis located onthe motor
pulley and on the lower rightwheel of the band saw.

Loosen the three motor nuts and rotate the motor
to the right orclockwise to reduce tension on the
olddrive belt.

Remove the worn drive beltby slidingitoff the
wheel and thenoff the motorpulley.
Matching grooves, placenew drive belt on the
motor pulley and then on the wheel.
Rotate the motor tothe left or counterclockwise
from the front of the saw to apply tension to the
drive belt. Using a thumband finger tosqueeze
the belt, it should give about 114in. Tighten the
three motor nuts.
Note: Adrive belt thatis too tightmay cause in-
creased noise or overloadthe motor.
