TO MOVE FORWARDAND BACKWARD
Thedirectionandspeed of movement is
controlledbythegearshift lever.
•Starttractorwithclutch/brakepedal
depressedandgearshiftleverin neutral
(N) position.
•Movegearshiftleverto desired posi-
tion.
•Slowlyreleaseclutch/brakepedalto
start movement.
IMPORTANT: Bringtractorto a complete
stopbefore shiftingorchanginggears.

TO ADJUST MOWER CUTTING HEIGHT
Thecuttingheightis controlledbyturning
theheightadjustmentknobindesired
direction.
•Tum knobclockwise( ) to raisecut-
tingheight.
•Turn knob counterclockwise( ) to
lowercuttingheight.
Thecuttingheightrange isapproximately
1-1/2"to4". The heightsare measured
fromthe groundtothe blade tipwiththe
enginenotrunning.These heightsare ap-
proximateand mayvary dependingupon
soilconditions,heightofgrassand types
ofgrassbeing mowed.
