on levelgroundordriveway. Make sure
tiresare properlyinflated(See =PROD-
UCT SPECIFICATIONS'). Iftiresare
overorunderinflated,youwillnotpropedy
adjustyourmower.
SIDE-TO-SiDEADJUSTMENT
•Raisemowerto itshighestposition.
°Atthe midpointofbothsides ofmower,
measureheightfrom bottomedgeof
mowertoground. Distance=A"onboth
sidesofmower shouldbethe same or
within1/4"of eachother.
•Ifadjustmentisnecessary,makeadjust-
menton oneside ofmower only.
°Toraiseone sideofmower,tightenlift
linkadjustmentnutonthatside.
°Tolowerone sideofmower,loosenlift
linkadjustmentnutonthatside.
NOTE: Eachfull tum ofadjustmentnut
willchangemowerheightabout 1/8".
•Recheckmeasurementsafteradjusting.

equalin length. Bothlinksshouldbe

on bothfront linksan equalnumberof
tums.
•When distance=D"is1/8"to 1/2"lower
atfront than rear,tightennuts=P
againsttrunniononbothfront links.
•To raisefront ofmower,loosennut=P
from trunniononbothfront links.

•When distance=D"is 1/8"to 1/2"lower
atfront than rear,tightennut=P against
trunniononbothfront links.
•Recheckside-to-sideadjustment.

IMPORTANT:Deck must belevel side-to-
side. Ifthe followingfront-to-back adjust-
mentis necessary,be sure to adjustboth
front links equally so mower willstay
levelside-to-side.
To obtainthebestcuttingresults,the
mowerhousingshouldbeadjustedsothat
thefront is approximately1/8" to1/2"
lowerthanthe rearwhen themower isin
itshighestposition.
Checkadjustmentonrightsideof tractor.
Measuredistance=D"directlyinfront and

Front Links Trunnion
TO REPLACE MOWER BLADE DRIVE
BELT
The mower blade drive belt maybe
replaced without tools. Park the tractor on
level surface. Engage parking brake.
BELT REMOVAL -
•Remove mower from tractor (See "TO
REMOVE MOWER" in this section of
this manual).
•Work belt off both mandrel pulleys and
idler pulleys.
•Pull belt away from mower.
