Using the dialpad to enter text

Follow this procedure to use the dialpad to enter text.

Use the Symbol key to enter special characters

A ﬂashing cursor appears in the display when you can enter text on the

screen.

Step Action

1Toenter text, ﬁnd the number key associated with the letter you want

to enter, and perform one of theseactions:

•Toenter the ﬁrst letter, press the key once.

•Toenter the second letter, press the key twice.

•Toenter the third letter, press the key three times.

The character appears on the display.

2Toenter special characters perform theses actions. See "Special

characters" (page 46) for a list of available characters.

3Press the Symbol soft key.

A list of symbols opens.

4Scroll through the list and select a symbol.

5Press Ok.
