A jumper inserted into the drill on each adapter card indicates to the device whether an on-board Flash device is to be used or not. Table 4 provides information on this jumper.

2.3.3EEPROM

The mezzanine cards incorporate an EEPROM that is accessible through the I2C-compatible inter- face. The EEPROM capacity is 4Kb. The EEPROM is used for storing the Vital Product Data (VPD) and FRU. The PCI VPD (Vital Product Data) layout for each of the mezzanine cards com- plies with the format defined in the PCI 3.0 Specification, Appendix I.
