Replacing the Power-Button Board

Procedure

1Align the screw hole on the power-button board with the screw hole on the palm rest.

2Replace the screw that secures the power-button board to the palm rest.

3Adhere the power-button board cable to the palm-rest assembly.

4Slide the power-button board cable through the slot on the palm-rest assembly.

5Turn the palm-rest assembly over.

Post-requisites

1Replace the palm rest.

2Replace the keyboard.

3Follow the procedure from step 3 to step 5 in replacing the hard drive.

4Replace the base cover.

5Replace the battery.
